Chemical Tracers can be used to compare the hydrocarbon and frac fluid flow contribution of an individual frac stage to the total flow stream of the well. Produced oil & water samples are taken during the first six months of production to determine the lateral production profile of the well. Offset well samples can also be taken to evaluate the degree of interwell connectivity when an offset well encounters a frac hit from a traced well.
